Resources for MSP Implementation

Institutional Readiness Checklist

Determine if your institution is ready to implement a Medical Scholars Pathway Program! This will highlight your team's first action items to complete before implementation. This will involve establishing partnerships, conducting needs assessments, and more!

Conduct a Stakeholder Interview

Implementation of a MSP program involves working with various organizations in the community as well as within in the community college you want to work with. Stakeholder interviews offer the opportunity to strengthen relationships while learning more about the stakeholder and their organization/program.

Conducting a Needs Assessment

The steps to conducting a community needs assessment can be found in the linked file. Use this and your own research to guide your institution in performing a needs assessment of your local community for major health issues and of your local community college for resources and opportunities available to their pre-health students.

How to Measure Project Success

Data collection can be intimidating and it is often hard to figure out where to start. However, it is often helpful to start with defining your project's goals and then creating a way to measure how each of these goals will be met.
